In addition the winemaking and blending skills are combined to create a wine that provides a unique wine drinking
experience.
The Wine

The Hattrick has been produced since 1997 and is a blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache from McLaren Vale. The 2002 blend was a combination of 46% shiraz, 38% Grenache and 16% cabernet with an alcohol level of 15.5%.

The philosophy behind the creation of The Hattrick has always been to make a limited release wine whose total effect is greater than the sum of its individual parts. This wine lives up to that philosophy.

Tasting Notes

An outstanding framework of solid
and defined strength with spice
and dark fruit characters of Shiraz.
This is further supported by
Grenache that provides supple but
real flesh and beautiful aromatics
of concentrated red berries.

The ink-black Cabernet of 2002
adds length and finish and its
natural tannins lock the package
together seamlessly. A palate of
moccha/chocolate with a hint of
fine leather meld into the wine to
complete a great vintage for
Hattrick. This wine is great now
and will remain so for the next
10-15 years.
