| Bream Creek Vineyard | |
      | The Winery The Bream Creek Vineyard was originally planted in the early 1970’s, making it one of the more mature vineyards in Tasmania. Overlooking the lower East Coast on the same latitude as Tasmania’s capital Hobart, the vineyard enjoys a long and mild ripening season tempered by its proximity to the Tasman Sea. Bream Creek produces a range of varieties and is a consistent medal winner on the Australian wine show circuit. The Wine The Schonburger is one of the many varieties that Bream Creek has built its success on. Other varieties for which this vineyard is known include Riesling, Chardonnay, Traminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. Schonburger is a very rare variety grown only in selected areas of Germany, United Kingdom and Tasmania, Australia. Bream Creek’s 2005 Schonburger emerges from handpicked vines planted in the early 1990’s. Tasting Notes - Bream Creek 2005 Schonburger The aroma of this wine gives hints of rose petal and Turkish Delight. This wine displays a luscious middle palate with Turkish Delight and dried pear, with some muscat characters. The palate has a nice firm structure and refreshing finish. |
