| The Winery Barletta Wines are sourced from the Clare Valley of South Australia since the mid 1990's under the guidance of brothers Ben and Mario Barletta. The fruit is sourced entirely from the Clare Valley and wines are vintaged at Polish Hill River. Barletta is a boutique producer of mainly Rhone style wine plus this distinctively Clare style Riesling. The Barletta Bros wines are individualistic and flavour rich rich wines that are produced by Mario Barletta in conjunction with renowned Clare Valley winemaker Neil Pike. Along with an Old Vine Grenache Shiraz and varietal Shiraz, Mario produces the limited release Clare Riesling. |
The Wine This is only the fourth release of a hand picked Clare Valley Riesling under the Barletta Bros label. Once again sourced and made from first choice Clare Valley sites in conjunction with Neil Pike at his Polish Hill River winery. The beauty of the relative simplicity of making Riesling is that so much of the naturally intense flavours and structure of the grape can be retained by timing the vintage correctly and careful observation in the winery. Barletta 2004 Riesling is evidence of this. |

| Tasting Notes | ||
| The 2004 Riesling has an inherent richness of lime/citrus that dominates with hallmark lift and soft, fruit defining natural acid to lengthen the palate. A delicious drink with a wide range of food styles and alternatively a stand alone bottle with friends.               | ||
